1. Overview
Harper AI, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates stormsnipe.com and the StormSnipe lead intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information we collect from contractors and visitors who use our Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, trade type, service area preferences, and phone number (if provided).
Payment Information. We do not store payment card information. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We receive and store transaction records including purchase amounts, product types, and Stripe customer IDs.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, Strike Map interactions, CSV downloads, and session duration. This data is used to improve the Service and for analytics.
Communications. We retain records of emails you receive from us and your interactions with those emails (opens, clicks), as reported by our email service provider (Resend).
Location Preferences. We store your designated service area metros and hail threshold preferences to personalize storm alerts.
Device and Technical Data. We collect IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and other standard web server log data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: - Create and manage your account; - Process purchases and deliver lead lists; - Send storm alerts and product notifications; - Send transactional emails (order confirmation, delivery, billing); - Send marketing emails related to StormSnipe products (you may opt out at any time); - Analyze and improve the Service; - Detect and prevent fraud or abuse; - Comply with legal obligations; - Respond to your requests and communications.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We share limited personal information with service providers who help us operate the platform:
- Stripe, Inc. – Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. - Resend – Email delivery. Receives email addresses and message metadata. - Mapbox – Map visualization. May receive geographic preferences. - Google APIs – Used for Solar API (address coordinates, not personal data) and Places API (contractor discovery). - Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) – Hosting infrastructure. Receives standard web traffic data. - Google Cloud Storage (GCS) – File storage for generated assets. No personal data stored.
We require our service providers to maintain the confidentiality of your information and to use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed.
5. Email Communications
StormSnipe sends the following types of emails:
- Storm alerts – Sent when a qualifying storm event is detected in your designated metros. These are service communications. - Delivery confirmations – Sent when your lead list is ready. Service communications. - Marketing emails – Product updates, pricing information, and industry content. You may unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any marketing email.
We do not send emails on behalf of third parties or Branded Exclusivity partners to your inbox without your consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter (up to 3 years) for legal, business, and audit purposes.
Lead list purchase records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes.
Email interaction data (opens, clicks) is retained for 2 years.
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 8). Note that deletion requests may not affect data we are legally required to retain.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption in transit (TLS), restricted access to production data, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to: - Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. - Correction – Request correction of inaccurate data. - Deletion – Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. - Opt-out of marketing – Unsubscribe from marketing emails via any email's unsubscribe link or by contacting us. - Data portability – Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

California Residents (CCPA). You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under CCPA.
EEA/UK Residents (GDPR). If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service. For details, see our Cookie Policy at stormsnipe.com/legal/cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
