This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited uses of the StormSnipe platform, data products, and services. The AUP supplements and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. By using StormSnipe, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Uses
You may not use StormSnipe or any data obtained from StormSnipe for any of the following purposes:

- Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise distributing purchased address lists or any portion thereof to third parties, including other contractors, lead aggregators, data brokers, or any business that competes with StormSnipe; - Including StormSnipe data in any commercial product or service without express written authorization from StormSnipe; - Publishing StormSnipe address data on publicly accessible websites or platforms.
2.2 Electronic Communications to Homeowners
- Using StormSnipe address data as the basis for any email, text message (SMS/MMS), robocall, or other electronic communication directed at property owners at the listed addresses; - Adding StormSnipe-sourced addresses to any mailing list, contact database, or marketing automation system used for electronic outreach; - Reverse-engineering or appending email addresses or phone numbers to StormSnipe address data for electronic contact purposes.
Note: StormSnipe data is licensed for physical canvassing only. Electronic outreach to homeowners using StormSnipe-sourced address data is a material breach of these Terms.
2.3 Platform Abuse and Scraping
- Automated scraping, crawling, or harvesting of any data from the StormSnipe website, API, or dashboard using bots, scripts, or automated tools; - Bypassing or attempting to bypass rate limiting, authentication, or other access controls; - Creating multiple accounts to circumvent exclusivity limitations, purchase limits, or other access restrictions; - Using proxy services, VPNs, or other means to obscure your identity for purposes of circumventing platform restrictions.
2.4 Harassment and Illegal Conduct
- Using StormSnipe data in connection with any form of harassment, intimidation, stalking, or threatening behavior toward homeowners; - Door-to-door canvassing in jurisdictions where such activity is prohibited by law or ordinance without the required permits, registrations, or licenses; - Making false, misleading, or deceptive representations to homeowners about storm damage, insurance coverage, or the nature of your credentials; - Engaging in any "storm chasing" contractor conduct that violates state contractor fraud laws, including misrepresenting damage severity to inflate insurance claims.
2.5 Competitive Intelligence Gathering
- Using StormSnipe to identify competitor contractors operating in a given metro through purchase records, behavioral data, or platform features; - Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data belonging to other StormSnipe users.
